The Ve is a product of many years of eccentric evolution. I grew up acting and singing, and did a bit of (unspectacular) stand up when I was very young, but spent many years doing print and runway modeling while performing as a singer with various musical and cabaret acts in Los Angeles, including the infamous Club Makeup. I decided to spend a few years outside LA to expand my creative horizons, and rekindled my love for comedy while studying improv in Chicago with Improv Olympic and Second City. After studying and performing in Chicago, I moved to Berlin, where I immediately joined up with a popular local short form improv group which became part of the Comedysportz franchise. I performed with the group for a year and a half at Berlin's famous Kookaburra Comedy Club, created a training program, selected and trained the current cast. I was also a member of Britain sketch phenom The Treason Show's Berlin cast, and started writing many political and satirical sketches. During the time I spent in Berlin, the English comedy scene prospered, and I was a member of several regularly performing groups of English-speaking comedians introducing Berlin to western-style stand up (German "stand up" comedy is still firmly rooted in cabaret and vaudeville, and very rarely consists of a purely speaking performance). I returned to Los Angeles from Berlin in January 2010 to focus on acting projects in addition to comedy. I joined the Groundlings program and recently finished performing in "The Pink Chat Room" at CASA 0101 Theater, a world-premiere comedic musical about an online chat room for lesbians, playing a bisexual exotic dancer. I am a humble supporter and patron of the LGBT arts, and was honored to represent playwright June Vertucci in this truly original production. Performing for people of all cultures has taught me that we all have a lot more in common than I ever expected. In addition to my work in Berlin, Chicago and Los Angeles, I traveled to Venice, Italy in 2009 to perform an original theatrical piece, The Consequences of Renovation, in the Biennale Art Festival. I also traveled to Jerusalem, Israel to participate in Stage Center's international performance laboratory. In addition to performing and writing comedy, I write articles about life, environmentalism, human rights, relationships, and a lot of very questionable haiku.
